Medical Assistant - Per Diem - Organ Transplant - Green Hospital

Located on the Torrey Pines Mesa near I-5 and Genesee Avenue in La Jolla, Scripps Green Hospital has served the greater San Diego community since 1977. This is a non‑benefited, per diem / casual position with 8‑hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with no weekend, evening, or holiday requirements. What You’ll Do Assist with procedures such as biopsies, stent removals, shots, and staple removals. Support rooming of patients, checking vital signs, and providing customer service to patients over the phone for callbacks and instructions. Work in a high‑volume clinic that sees 45‑60 patients per day, supporting eight providers. Grow skills as a Medical Assistant and provide exceptional patient care. Requirements Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program, or Medical Assistance Certification, or a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman. BLS certification required. Preferred Experience One year of experience as an MA in an outpatient setting. Experience assisting with procedures such as biopsies, stent removals, and staple removals.
