Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities
  • Conduct diverse ultrasound examinations including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
  • Prioritize patient comfort and safety during procedures, ensuring transparency and compassion throughout
  • Work cohesively with radiologists and referring physicians to produce high-caliber diagnostic images
  • Maintain imaging equipment and promptly report any issues that may arise
  • Accurately document imaging procedures and manage patient records within the electronic medical system
  • Keep up to date with the latest advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices
Education Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
  • Preferred: Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program
Certifications Required
  • Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent certification
  • Preferred: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Skills Needed
  • Exceptional technical skills in sonographic imaging techniques and patient positioning
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
