General Manager Multi-Location Tire & Automotive Services Location: Yakima Valley, Washington Employment Type: Full-time Work Setting: Onsite, multi-location We are seeking an experienced, results-driven General Manager to oversee multiple tire and automotive service locations throughout the Yakima Valley. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving sales growth, profitability, operational consistency, manager development, customer satisfaction, and service quality across multiple locations. The ideal candidate understands both the operational and financial sides of the tire and automotive service industry. This individual should be comfortable reviewing store performance, coaching managers, improving shop productivity, resolving customer concerns, and creating a consistent, accountable culture across multiple locations. Multi-Location Leadership Provide leadership and operational direction across multiple tire and automotive service locations Coach, develop, and hold store managers accountable for performance, staffing, profitability, and customer satisfaction Conduct regular store visits and ensure operational standards are followed consistently Establish clear expectations and develop action plans for underperforming locations Build a professional, accountable, and customer-focused culture across the organization Sales & Financial Performance Drive revenue growth across tire sales, automotive repair, preventive maintenance, and related services Review store-level P&Ls, labor costs, margins, expenses, and productivity Improve sales, gross profit, average repair order, customer retention, and overall profitability Monitor pricing, discounts, purchasing practices, inventory levels, and operating expenses Prepare budgets, forecasts, and performance reports for senior leadership Identify market opportunities and recommend practical strategies for continued growth Automotive Service Operations Ensure work is completed safely, accurately, efficiently, and according to established standards Monitor shop workflow, technician productivity, labor utilization, scheduling, and vehicle turnaround times Maintain appropriate staffing levels based on business demand Ensure stores maintain appropriate tire, parts, equipment, and supply inventories Manage vendor and supplier relationships related to pricing, product availability, and service Ensure facilities, service bays, equipment, and customer areas are properly maintained Customer Experience Maintain consistently high customer service standards across all locations Support store managers with escalated customer concerns Monitor customer feedback, reviews, complaints, warranty issues, and service recovery Develop processes that encourage repeat business, referrals, and long-term customer relationships Ensure service recommendations are communicated clearly, honestly, and professionally Team Development Recruit, train, coach, and retain store managers, service advisors, technicians, tire installers, and support staff Identify future leaders and develop internal talent Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and corrective action when needed Promote teamwork, accountability, professionalism, safety, and respect Partner with leadership and HR on employee relations, staffing, training, and performance matters Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements and internal policies Maintain accurate operational, employee, inspection, and incident documentation Ensure employees receive appropriate training and consistently follow safe work practices Protect company assets and support effective cash handling, inventory control, and loss-prevention practices Required Qualifications 7+ years of leadership experience in automotive service, tire sales, retail automotive operations, or a closely related industry 3+ years of experience overseeing multiple locations, departments, or management teams Strong understanding of tire sales, automotive repair, service writing, shop workflow, and customer service Experience managing budgets, P&Ls, labor costs, margins, inventory, and profitability Proven ability to coach managers, improve performance, and lead teams through change Strong communication, decision-making, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced service environment Comfort using POS systems, automotive management software, spreadsheets, and performance reporting tools Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly between locations High school diploma or equivalent required; additional business, automotive, or management education preferred Preferred Experience Direct experience with a multi-location tire or automotive service organization Experience leading service advisors, technicians, tire installers, and retail sales teams Knowledge of automotive parts, tire products, warranties, vendor programs, and inventory controls Experience developing store managers and building succession plans Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are helpful, but not required The successful candidate will be: Visible, approachable, and comfortable spending time inside each location Financially disciplined and focused on measurable results Consistent in setting expectations and holding teams accountable Skilled at balancing customer satisfaction, employee development, productivity, and profitability Calm and decisive when handling operational challenges Professional, ethical, and committed to building a strong company culture
