Perioperative Role CVOR
Schedule: Weekend rotation with variable call schedule; typically one weekday call per week and one weekend call every 56 weeks.
Assignment Details: Contract length: 8 weeks; guaranteed hours: not specified.
Requirements: Minimum 2 years clinical experience. Required certifications: ACLS, BLS. Experience with Epic charting system. Relevant clinical skills: cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular perioperative experience; experience with CABG, valve surgery, TAVR, LVAD, IABP, carotid/vascular procedures, pulmonary resections, and VATS.
Roles & Responsibilities: Provide perioperative care for adult and geriatric patients in Main OR and CVOR settings. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop patient-centered care plans. Participate in patient education and post-operative recovery processes. Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards. Document patient care using the Epic charting system accurately and in a timely manner.
Compliance / Notes: Full compliance required to start on time; compliance documentation deadline is the Tuesday prior to start. Candidates must have a GA or Compact nursing license at the time of submission. Two supervisory references preferred at submission. Perm staff must be away for 1 full year from the facility to return as a traveler. Mandatory $125 pre-application fee for certain privileging processes.
