Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Coverage Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to a hematology, medical oncology, bone marrow transplant (BMT), and gynecologic and surgical oncology population
• Maintain a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio with float requirement as assigned
• Care for patients in a 7-bed positive pressure wing designated for BMT and acute leukemia patients
• Assist with or support bedside CVC placements and bone marrow biopsies
• Administer medications using barcode medication administration and Alaris IV pumps integrated with Epic
• Adhere to emergency team expectations, including remaining on-site or serving as part of a relief team during declared emergency events as directed by unit management

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in oncology nursing specialty
• Active Compact or Louisiana RN license in hand at time of submittal
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as reflected on driver's license)
• Current NURSYS report submitted with profile (must be within 4 weeks of submission date)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification preferred
• Prior experience with Alaris feeding pumps and SCD machines
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
