Full Time Journeyman Meat Cutter

Job Overview This is a full‑time position. Primary responsibility is to take excellent care of our customers by satisfying each customer’s needs and exceeding their expectations. This requires a defined level of product knowledge, food preparation skills, sales ability, customer relations skills, and cooperation with fellow associates to create an incredible place to work and shop. Responsibilities Efficiently cut and process the complete variety of meat products to achieve maximum yield and gross profit according to meat standards. Clean work areas and maintain sanitary conditions. Provide customer service, unload stock, and reload salvage. Participate in and complete required training to increase customer satisfaction and sales. Qualifications Age requirement: must be at least 18 years of age. Exceptional interpersonal skills and willingness to work with a team. Language skills: ability to read, comprehend, and write simple correspondence in English; ability to present information verbally in one‑on‑one and small group situations to English‑speaking customers, vendors, and associates. Reasoning ability: apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions, and deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Certificates, licenses, registrations: completion of company training including new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service network, safety, food safety, and product knowledge. Physical Demands Stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; taste or smell; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch. Regularly lift or move up to 50 lbs and reach from 6‑72 inches. Frequently lift or move up to 100 lbs and reach from 6‑72 inches. Requires close vision, color, and depth perception. Work Environment Cool environment with temperatures 34‑36°F, frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. Occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme cold. Noise level is usually moderate to loud. Compensation Pay range: $18.00 – $28.00 per hour for a newly hired associate, depending on experience and skill sets.
