Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Coverage Needed

• Start Date: As soon as possible
• End Date: Ongoing
• Schedule: 32-40 hours per week (8-hour or 10-hour shifts)
  • Must be available to work either Monday or Friday every week
• Open Dates:
  • OR Coverage: May: 5/12, 5/14, 5/19-5/20, 5/21
  • Weekend Call: June: 6/5, 6/13, 6/21, 6/28, July: 7/9

Clinical Details

• Administer anesthesia for general surgical procedures for both adult and pediatric patients
• Provide anesthesia care for neurosurgical cases, ensuring proper management of neurological status pre- and post-procedure
• Perform spinal anesthesia and local infiltration anesthesia as required by surgical procedures
• Manage ventilation and monitor respiratory status throughout the surgical process
• Deliver anesthesia under direct supervision in a collaborative environment with anesthesiologists and surgical teams
• Maintain continuous patient monitoring throughout the perioperative phase (pre-op, intra-op, and post-op)
• Utilize Epic EMR for all documentation and anesthesia records
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedural protocols, and safety standards
• Operate within a hospital-based setting designated as a Level II Trauma Center
• Contribute to a daily volume of approximately 50 surgical cases
• Respond to emergencies and provide airway management, including intubation if needed

Requirements

• Board Certified: NBCRNA
• Active MI license
• Clean Background
• Self-Query NPDB (Should be pulled within the month)
• Must have 1 year CRNA experience
• No job gaps
• Provider must be able to work a minimum of 32 hours, and have either Monday or Friday availability every week
• Certification Requirements: ACLS (AHA), PALS, BLS (AHA)
