This leadership role will drive automation and modernization initiatives throughout the plant while leading the Innovation Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial automation, project management, and manufacturing process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the Innovation Team in automation and modernization projects.
- Program, troubleshoot, and integrate Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, and Delta PLC/HMI systems.
- Design and implement automation upgrades on legacy manufacturing equipment.
- Modernize machinery with HMIs, motion controls, SCADA systems, and data collection capabilities.
- Implement sensors and tracking systems to provide real-time machine performance and maintenance data.
- Manage automation projects from design and procurement through installation, commissioning, and safety validation.
- Work closely with Engineering and Operations teams to improve productivity, reliability, and ROI.
- 5+ years of industrial automation engineering experience; manufacturing experience preferred.
- At least 2 years of leadership, project management, or team supervision experience.
- Strong PLC/HMI programming skills in Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, and Delta platforms.
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or similar electrical design software.
