Amazon’s SAF Lab is hiring a Research Scientist in safety‑critical control for robotics. You will design, analyze, and validate algorithms that ensure safe autonomy for robots in retail and fulfillment environments. Responsibilities include formulating research problems, developing control and safety frameworks, building simulations and prototypes, and running large‑scale experiments with real systems. You’ll collaborate with scientists, engineers, and product teams, publish or patent novel methods, and turn research into production solutions that improve safety, reliability, and customer experience at global scale.
