Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Requirements Registered Nurse license in good standing At least 1 year of recent permanent experience in cardiac stepdown nursing or a closely related specialty Permanent Ohio RN license or compact-state license in hand at the time of application Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross Active ACLS certification Active NIHSS certification Recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty Ability to complete ECG rhythm recognition and medication-safety assessments during orientation Comfort working rotating day and night shifts and caring for patients with complex cardiac and vascular needs Cardiac Stepdown Nursing Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiac stepdown and vascular surgery patients Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, neurological status, and changes in patient condition Recognize and respond promptly to clinical deterioration and changes in cardiac status Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established standards of care Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care and discharge planning Complete accurate clinical documentation and communicate patient updates during handoff Float, when needed, to comparable patient-care units and emergency services areas while caring for the same patient population Support a safe, respectful, and patient-centered care environment Apply now for this Cardiac Stepdown RN travel contract in Cleveland, Ohio, and join a dedicated healthcare team caring for patients with complex cardiac and vascular needs.
