Plumbing Service Technician (Zebulon, Charlotte, Elon & Surrounding Areas)

Job Summary Plans and coordinates activities concerned with installing equipment, investigating and resolving customer reports of technical problems with equipment, and eliminating future operational or service difficulties. Responsibilities Review service schedules, with assistance from department manager, to ensure timely completion of service calls. Coordinate project material and equipment needs, and deliveries to maintain job productivity and projected completion schedules. Analyze systems and review findings to determine source of problem, and recommend repair, replacement, or other corrective action. Double-check work to prevent callbacks. Provide on-site technical assistance to troubleshoot and repair equipment. Complete and forward service tickets, ensuring tickets are legible and comprehensive. Act as a communication link between the customer and the company to ensure effective service. Respond to service calls in a timely manner, including after hours if assigned to provide emergency services. Attend schools and seminars to maintain and advance technical knowledge. Comply with company policies and procedures, especially safety rules. Qualifications Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Work Environment The employee frequently uses hands and arms for tasks requiring handling, reaching, and coordination; may stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, crouch, or balance; may lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
