Travel Operating Room Surgical Technologist - $1,983 per week

Care Career is seeking a travel Certified Surgical Technologist for a travel job in Torrance, California.

Job Description & Requirements

Position: Surgical Technologist (OR Tech)

Facility type: Acute care hospital

Shift: Day shift, 3×12 hours (10:30 AM–11:00 PM)

Core Requirements

• Experience: 2 years minimum (3 preferred) in acute OR
• Certifications: BLS required
• Education: Surgical Tech diploma required
• Travel experience: Not required (first-time travelers accepted with strong experience)
• References: 2 supervisor-level references (within last 1 year) REQUIRED before submission
• License: Must have active CA license in hand (no pending/temp)

Case Mix / Skills Needed

You’d need broad OR exposure, including:

• Orthopedic, Neuro, Spine, Trauma
• General surgery, Plastics, Burns
• Robotic surgery (Da Vinci, Mako, Mazor)
• Complex cases like Whipple, Craniotomy, Total joints, Vascular, etc.

⏱ Scheduling & Call

• 3×12 day shifts
• Weekends/call required:
  • 2 standby call or weekend shifts per 6-week cycle
  • 2–3 weeknight standby calls
