Powder Coat Technician
Location: Madison Heights, MI
Pay: $14.50 per hour

Job Summary

Our client in Madison Heights is seeking dependable, motivated individuals to join their manufacturing team as Powder Coat Technicians. In this role, you will help produce high-quality finished metal products by preparing, coating, and inspecting parts while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Schedule

Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Overtime required as needed)
Lift Requirement: Up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

Prepare metal parts for powder coating by cleaning, masking, and sanding surfaces.
Set up and operate powder coating equipment and spray booths.
Apply powder coatings to meet quality and production standards.
Inspect finished products for quality, coverage, and finish consistency.
Perform minor equipment adjustments and basic maintenance as needed.
Safely move materials throughout the facility using forklifts or other material handling equipment (if certified).
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all company safety policies and quality procedures.
Work with team members to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications

Previous manufacturing or powder coating experience preferred but not required.
Experience with industrial painting, powder coating, or automotive finishing is a plus.
Ability to use hand tools and basic power tools.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in a fast-paced production environment.
Basic math and measuring skills.
Forklift experience is a plus but not required.
Reliable transportation and a strong attendance record.
