International Controller

Within the International Controlling department, the International Controller will be integrated into the Redion country controlling community within the Redion Finance area.

The International Controlling team is in charge of Financial Planning & Analysis activities, overseeing both the controlling of the 30+ Redion Management Countries and the controlling of IT spend (cash & P&L) for the whole Redion Group.

The team is composed of three International Controllers; each covers a portfolio of 5 to 10 Redion Management Countries (depending on their respective sizes and complexities) and two dedicated Controllers focused on expenses, with a transversal scope.

Mission & Responsibilities:

• Act as the main point of contact for Group Top Management on all matters related to country expense control, spanning Commercial and Operations as well as Finance and HR.

• Review and control general expenses for Forecast, Budget, and Plan submissions, as well as actual closings and previews (including comparisons with the Budget/last Forecast as well as prior years).

• Challenge general expenses and contribute to business steering for the different Regions, interacting with all key management functions within the Company.

• Provide ad hoc support for Redion Group GEX analysis; prepare specific presentations (GEX dashboard, rolling forecast) and supporting documentation.

• Draft and maintain Group guidelines on cost allocation, and suggest and support process improvements in this area.

To accomplish these goals, the International GEX Controller will need a 360° view of activities across the different Regions, with main responsibilities as follows:

• Challenge local stakeholders on cost analysis and optimization at each level of BU activities, including organizational improvement and workforce planning.

• Understand the business and the strategic market environment, and support and challenge local Top Management on all aspects of the business.

• Support the decision-making and resource allocation processes of Group Top Management with critical input, analyses, and reports.

• Write clear, concise, and impactful notes and summary reports.

• Act as the main counterpart for all matters related to OPEX/CAPEX, from both a Group and local perspective; anticipate potential issues and propose solutions.

Preferred Experience:

• The candidate must hold a master's degree in economics and business management, obtained from a business school or a leading university.

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in similar finance operating roles within insurance companies or consulting firms is required.

• Knowledge of the key Property & Casualty Insurance concepts related to general expenses.

• Strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Strong strategic and methodological mindset, with exceptional attention to detail.

• Ability to drive results through cross-functional and international interactions.

• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment; resilient under pressure.

• Data analytics skills, and experience implementing data tools (Power BI, etc.).

• Superior verbal and written communication skills in an international environment.

• Proactive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders and team members.

• Ability to create a positive work environment.

• Fluent English is required.

• Skills in AI would be a plus.
