We are looking for authentic and enthusiastic people who love our lifestyle and believe in service before self. As a Store Manager at North 40, you are responsible to coach and lead a store team, drive sales and profitability metrics, manage the store operationally, maintain store standards and promote safety and safeguard company assets. In order to succeed in the position, you will need to be an enthusiastic person who can optimistically handle a challenging and fast-paced environment. You should have experience and a passion for generating sales and maintaining store standards. A key part of this position will be the operational and administrative side of your store.You should also have a strong background in retail management, merchandising, and sales. Public relations, understanding and adapting to local culture is also crucial to your success. Experience and working knowledge of outdoorrecreation, farm and ranch, animal health, tools, and hardware isa plus. This full-time position requires the ability to work all scheduled shifts between the business hours of Mon-Sat 7 am to 7 pm, and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm., as well as additional time before and after hours as needed. This shift can include working weekends and certain holidays and will require flexibility in scheduling based on business needs. As this is a managerial position it is not uncommon to work 55-60 hours a week. Qualifications Willingness to share credit, work with others in a team environment, and define success collectively rather than individually Ability to take initiative, embrace change, and learn new things Drive to be dependable, and to perform well against the expectations of the role Ability to work independently or in a group setting Committed to supplying our North 40 guests with phenomenal customer service Good communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with individuals on a regular basis Ability to multitask and prioritize Ability to work in a fast paced environment while remaining detailed and focused Ability to work well with others,lead,motivate and empower a team Sales experience, merchandising, and computer skills a plus Experience and working knowledge of clothing, outdoorrecreation, farm and ranch, animal health, tools, and hardware isa plus. Committed to providing feedback, developing others, and making decisions under ambiguity A willingness to lead by example Resolving team issues in a timely and professional manner Ability to delegate and assign tasks appropriately Skilled in leadership, sales generation, strategic planning, business acumen, time management and general retail software proficiency Ability to complete operational, administrative and safety tasks on all levels Partner and communicate effectively with various departments within the home office and the executive leadership team Manage scheduling and staffing according to business needs Willingness to relocate if needed Understanding of correct lifting and loading techniques. Physical ability to lift and carry 0-15 lbs. continuously, 15-50lbs. frequently, and 50-55 lbs. occasionally, andteam lift anything over 55 lbs. Spending 100% of work time on your feet, including use of ladders, rolling staircases and pallet jacks.
