Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in high-risk obstetrics to provide comprehensive care in a Labor and Delivery unit. The role involves supporting patient-centered care and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective childbirth experiences.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess and monitor maternal and fetal health throughout labor and delivery processes.
  
  
• 
  Administer medication infusions such as Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate per protocols.
  
  
• 
  Initiate and manage IVs and collaborate with anesthesia and lab teams for procedures like phlebotomy and 12-lead EKGs.
  
  
• 
  Transport patients safely within the unit and support remote telehealth services as needed.
  
  
• 
  Maintain adherence to unit-specific procedures and protocols with a focus on high-risk obstetric care.
  
  
• 
  Contribute to a supportive, team-oriented environment that emphasizes patient safety and quality.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid Registered Nurse license with recent experience in labor and delivery, particularly high-risk obstetrics.
  
  
• 
  Proven expertise in administering IV medications, monitoring fetal and maternal vital signs, and performing phlebotomy.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work independently, demonstrating a strong work ethic, dependability, and initiative.
  
  
• 
  Knowledge of hospital protocols related to obstetric emergencies and maternal-fetal monitoring.
  
  
• 
  Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary team members.
  
  
• 
  BLS and NRP certifications required; additional certifications related to obstetrics preferred.
