Patterns Hiring is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology for a travel nursing job in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Oncology Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Must have RN Radiation Oncology Work Experience (not Medical Oncology) Must have RN Colorado State Active License AHA BLS certification required ACLS certification required Minimum 2 years of RN Radiation Oncology experience required Job Summary The Radiation Oncology Nurse provides compassionate, high-quality care to patients undergoing cancer treatment. The RN assesses patient needs, provides nursing interventions, supports treatment and follow-up, and collaborates with the Radiation Oncology team to ensure continuity of care. Shift: Working 4-10's; weekdays. Key Responsibilities - Assess patients and manage treatment-related symptoms and concerns. - Assist the Radiation Oncologist with patient examinations and care. - Educate and counsel patients and families about treatment, side effects, and follow-up care. - Coordinate care with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. - Provide referrals to rehabilitation, hospice, nutritional, nursing, and community support services. - Maintain accurate patient documentation and promote safe, evidence-based care. - Support patients and families emotionally throughout the cancer journey. Required Skills - Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. - Knowledge of oncology, radiation therapy, pharmacology, and chronic disease management. - Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. - Commitment to culturally sensitive, patient-centered care.
