About the Role

As a Merchant Services Deal Pricing Analyst , you will support pricing strategy and financial analysis for the Merchant Services business. You will partner with Sales, Relationship Management, Finance, Product, Operations, and Risk teams to evaluate pricing opportunities and provide data-driven recommendations that support client relationships, profitability, and business growth.

You will analyze merchant transaction activity, processing trends, revenue, costs, seasonality, and other business factors to assess pricing requests and financial impacts. Your recommendations will help balance competitive client pricing with profitability, risk, compliance, and broader business objectives.

This role is well suited for an analytical professional who enjoys working with financial data, solving complex business problems, and collaborating with cross-functional partners in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in Merchant Services, Payments, Financial Services, Pricing, Finance, Operations, or a related analytical field , or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience analyzing financial, operational, or business data and translating findings into actionable recommendations.
• Experience with pricing analysis, financial analysis, revenue analysis, profitability analysis, or financial reporting .
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including data analysis, reporting, financial modeling, and working with large datasets.
• Understanding of merchant pricing and payment-processing concepts, including interchange, assessments, processing fees, revenue, and related cost structures .
• Experience using pricing, reporting, financial, or business intelligence tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience developing or supporting merchant services pricing strategies and deal pricing .
• Experience evaluating pricing requests based on transaction volume, processing behavior, revenue, costs, seasonality, and profitability.
• Knowledge of payment network rules, regulations, and industry practices.
• Experience partnering with Sales, Relationship Management, Product, Operations, Finance, and Risk teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to communicate financial and pricing recommendations to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Experience interacting directly with internal and external clients.
• Ability to learn quickly and operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate merchant pricing requests and provide recommendations based on financial, operational, and business analysis.
• Analyze transaction volumes, processing trends, seasonality, revenue, interchange, assessments, processing expenses, and other cost drivers.
• Develop financial analyses and pricing models to evaluate the profitability and financial impact of proposed merchant deals.
• Partner with Merchant Services Sales and Relationship Managers to understand client needs and develop competitive pricing solutions.
• Provide clear, data-driven recommendations that balance client needs with profitability, risk, compliance, and business objectives.
• Review and analyze moderately complex financial and pricing challenges involving multiple variables and business considerations.
• Identify trends, risks, opportunities, and potential financial impacts within pricing proposals.
• Prepare pricing analyses, reports, and supporting documentation for stakeholder review and decision-making.
• Collaborate across Finance, Sales, Product, Operations, Relationship Management, and Risk teams to resolve pricing-related issues.
• Ensure pricing recommendations align with established policies, procedures, controls, and compliance requirements.
• Prioritize multiple pricing requests and deliver accurate analyses within established deadlines.
• Contribute to broader Finance and Merchant Services initiatives, planning, and process improvements.

Location and Work Requirements

The preferred location for this position is Tempe, Arizona , at 1150 W. Washington St. Additional consideration may be given to candidates located in Des Moines, Iowa , at 800 S. Jordan Creek Pkwy, or Irving, Texas , at 401 W. Las Colinas Blvd.

Candidates must be able to work onsite at least three days per week .
