Senior Manager, Statistics

AbbVie seeks a Senior Manager of Statistics for early oncology research and development in Irvine, CA. The role provides statistical leadership across clinical trials, safety assessments, and medical affairs, requiring independent protocol development and regulatory collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Provide statistical leadership for design, analysis, and reporting of clinical research programs
- Develop protocols, statistical analysis plans, and safety analysis plans independently
- Lead data collection strategy and provide programming specifications for derived variables
- Perform statistical analyses and collaborate with Statistical Programming on deliverable quality
- Lead benefit-risk planning and assessment with cross-functional teams
Requirements
- MS with 8+ years or PhD with 4+ years in Statistics, Biostatistics, or related field
- Oncology experience preferred
- Strong technical competence and oral and written communication skills
- Ability to identify analytical issues and develop solutions independently or collaboratively
- Project management skills with focus on timeline and deliverable quality
- Leadership experience with cross-cultural or international teams
- Pharmaceutical industry knowledge and regulated drug development experience desired
