Facilities Associate

Job Summary

The Facilities Associate supports the daily operation, maintenance, and security of company facilities within an alarm and security systems environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring workspaces are safe, functional, and well-maintained while supporting building systems, physical security infrastructure, and vendor coordination. The ideal candidate is hands-on, dependable, and eager to grow within facilities and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily facilities operations, including inspections, preventative maintenance, and workspace setup
• Assist with the maintenance and coordination of building systems such as alarms, access control, CCTV, and monitoring equipment (in partnership with vendors and internal teams)
• Respond to facilities service requests and troubleshoot basic building issues (lighting, furniture, minor repairs)
• Coordinate with external vendors for repairs, maintenance, and inspections
• Assist with office moves, desk setups, and equipment relocations
• Help ensure compliance with safety and security standards, including fire alarms, emergency equipment, and access badge systems
• Maintain accurate documentation for maintenance activities, inspections, and service requests
• Track inventory of facilities supplies, tools, and equipment
• Support emergency or after-hours facilities issues as needed
• Maintain organized storage, workspaces, and facilities areas
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or training in facilities, construction, electronics, or a related field is a plus
• Some experience or demonstrated aptitude in facilities, maintenance, security systems, or related environments
• Working knowledge of or interest in building systems, alarms, and physical security infrastructure
• Ability to safely use hand tools and basic maintenance equipment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Reliable, proactive, and team-oriented
• Ability to lift up to [40–50] lbs and perform physical tasks
• Basic computer skills, including email and work order or ticketing systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with alarm systems, access control, CCTV, or low-voltage systems
• Familiarity with vendor coordination and service scheduling
• OSHA or safety training (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication and customer-service skills

Work Environment

• Combination of office, warehouse, and light industrial settings
• Occasional after-hours or weekend support for emergencies or planned work
• Physical activity including walking, standing, lifting, bending, and climbing

The base salary range of this opportunity is listed below and is determined within a range based on factors including qualifications, location and experience. This allows opportunity for growth and development within the role. The base salary offered is part of a total compensation package.

Base Salary Range

$23.75—$30 USD
