A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist providing essential hospital pharmacy services in West Burlington, IA. This role primarily supports a 200-bed facility and requires expertise in hospital pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders for accuracy and compliance
Supervise pharmacy technicians ensuring quality and efficiency
Consult with physicians and nurses regarding medication therapy
Manage pharmacokinetics to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications and Experience:
Licensed Pharmacist with experience in a hospital setting
Proficient in EPIC and Pyxis systems
Strong knowledge of pharmacokinetics and medication safety
Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams
Schedule:
Mainly 2nd shift: 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, 8-hour shifts
This position offers the chance to apply clinical skills in a dynamic hospital environment on a contract basis. Immediate start is preferred.
