This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys interacting with participants, thinking creatively, and ensuring every activity is welcoming, well-organized, and enjoyable.If you thrive in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same and enjoy making a positive impact through engaging events and activities, we'd love to hear from you.Position SummaryThe Activities & Events Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, facilitating, and evaluating a variety of participant activities, recreational programs, and special events. This role is actively involved in every stage of programming—from preparation and setup to leading activities and post-event cleanup.Success in this position requires creativity, flexibility, strong organizational skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for engaging with participants while delivering exceptional experiences.What You'll DoPlan, organize, and facilitate engaging participant activities, events, and special programsLead and actively participate in activities, encouraging involvement and creating a welcoming atmospherePrepare activity materials, supplies, schedules, and event spaces in advanceSet up and break down activity spaces while ensuring all materials are organized and availableCoordinate day-of event logistics and provide hands-on support throughout activitiesTrack attendance, participation, and maintain accurate activity documentationMonitor inventory and assist with ordering or organizing program suppliesCommunicate professionally with participants, staff, and other stakeholdersProvide administrative support including filing, scanning, copying, data entry, and correspondence as neededMaintain confidentiality, professionalism, and a participant-centered approachAssist with special projects and other duties as assignedWhat We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in activities coordination, recreation, event support, customer service, or a related field preferredStrong organizational skills with excellent attention to detailCreative, proactive, and able to think on your feetExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentComfortable working independently and as part of a teamBasic proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer systemsProfessional, dependable, and committed to maintaining confidentialityPreferred QualificationsExperience planning or leading group activities, recreation programs, or eventsExperience working with diverse populations in an inclusive and respectful mannerFamiliarity with scheduling systems, attendance tracking, or inventory managementComfortable engaging directly with participants and leading hands-on activitiesCore CompetenciesWe're looking for someone who is:Organized and dependableFriendly, approachable, and engagingCreative and resourcefulAdaptable in a changing environmentService-oriented with a positive attitudeA strong planner with excellent follow-throughAble to prioritize multiple responsibilities effectivelyComfortable working in a participant-focused environmentWork ScheduleThis is a per diem position with hours scheduled based on operational needs.
