Shipping Dock Lead - 2nd Shift

Dock Lead

As a highly valued member of the Forney TX team, this position is responsible for ensuring that all inbound and/or outbound shipments are accurate and timely.

As a Dock Lead, you will:

• Provide daily/weekly balancing of skilled labor across the shipping department
• Oversee material handlers in achieving department and site performance objectives that include safety, cost, service, quality, and efficiency
• Convey relevant information to Supervisors, Manager and other employees
• Assist management by driving continuous improvement activities within the shipping department
• Create written and oral instructions that are needed in the shipping area
• Ensure understanding of company KPIs and take actions to meet them
• Other duties/projects as assigned by Shipping Supervisor.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

• Shipping background is required
• Must be able to develop an in-depth knowledge of Manhattan (WMS), and knowledge should be extensive enough to train others
• Good computer skills
• Excellent communication skills
