Material HandlerBrittmoore - Houston, TX 77041Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Education Level High School Travel Percentage None Category ManufacturingDescriptionWeldFit is looking for an experienced Material Handler, responsible for performing shipping and receiving duties.Other Duties / Expectations:Receives and inspects incoming shipments for discrepancies and damages and reports problems promptly to the appropriate person.Prepares items accurately for shipment according to customer orders/instructions by retrieving from the warehouse, packaging, weighing on a scale and documenting correct shipment details.Stores materials and supplies within the warehouse according to part number and/or description by safely performing physical tasks such as lifting, carrying and stacking by hand or safely using material handling equipment.Signs for incoming deliveries, loads and unloads delivery trailers/trucks by hand or with material handling equipment as needed.Maintains shipping and receiving documentation in a neat and orderly manner.Maintains the warehouse and receiving area in a safe and orderly manner.Position is outside for 95% of the timeMust be able to work Monday - Sunday if needed, with overtime.QualificationsPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, bend and climbCapability of lifting up to 50 lbs. on a regular basisHigh Level of manual dexterityGood mechanical aptitudeEducation/Experience Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalentPrior experience shipping/receiving experience requiredRequired Skills:Verbal Communication in EnglishOrganizationWritten Communication SkillsReading skillsMath AptitudeTime ManagementAbility to lift up to 75 pounds
