Reporting Analyst

Core Responsibilities Complete at least 90% of urgent ad hoc data requests within 4 business days and non‑urgent requests within 8 business days. Prepare Pediatric Rapid Evaluation Program (PREP) reports for Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) by pulling and compiling all available claims data for the requested children. Conduct large data pulls for Program Integrity and the Attorney General’s office to assist with fraud identification. Produce reports for each Maine hospital by pulling and compiling all available claims data for specified time periods. Complete additional recurring requests as assigned. Serve as backup for processing and responding to incoming data requests. Contact requestors to clarify requests when necessary. Serve as backup for entering Change Requests (CRs) in the RQMS tool for DSS/DW data enhancements and reports, T‑MSIS & other extracts. Use SQL to pull data from the Legacy Database (MECMS/legacy claims) and Data Analytics Platform (MIHMS/current system claims) when needed. Follow HIPAA protocols when sharing Protected Health Information (PHI). Minimum Qualifications Six (6) years of education, training, and/or experience analyzing, evaluating, and/or developing improvements to organizational and/or managerial systems, programs, and practices. Preferred Experience Experience with and knowledge of the Medicaid program and/or other health and human services programs serving low‑income populations. Lived experience with Medicaid and/or other health‑related social needs common to individuals and families receiving Medicaid coverage. Competencies Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel including pivot tables. Demonstrated ability to learn and use new reporting systems; basic SQL skills preferred. Attention to detail. Ability to communicate well one‑on‑one, in meetings, and in writing. Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize and switch between multiple tasks.
