The Greer Group has a temp to hire opportunity as a Quality Inspector for a great manufacturing company in the Asheville area. This position is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, enjoy hands-on work, and take pride in ensuring product quality and accuracy.

Pay

$17.00/hour ( pay increase, benefits and PTO effective immediately at permanent hire)

Job Overview

The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing incoming, in-process, and finished goods inspections according to established work instructions and procedures. This role also supports customer and supplier returns, data entry, and maintaining accurate quality records.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspections, first article checks, and finished goods inspections
• Inspect customer returns and verify compliance to specifications
• Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to verify product quality
• Review parts against blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
• Assist with receiving incoming materials and verify against purchase orders using ERP systems
• Process customer and supplier returns and complete all required documentation
• Identify and document non-conforming materials
• Complete defect/non-conformance reports and assist with disposition of materials
• Maintain accurate manual and electronic inspection records
• Ensure proper handling and storage of incoming materials
• Perform roving inspections of work-in-process
• Support overall quality and continuous improvement efforts

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 12 months experience in Quality Inspection or Quality Control preferred
• Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
• Ability to read blueprints and follow written instructions
• Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
