Construction Scheduler Large-Scale Projects

Location: Omaha, NE

Work Arrangement: On-Site

Compensation: $130,000$140,000 Base + 2 Annual Bonuses + ESOP

The Opportunity

Our client is a large, 100% employee-owned construction organization with approximately 2,000 employees and a strong reputation for delivering complex commercial and industrial projects. They are seeking a Construction Scheduler to join their Omaha team and support a major, long-term construction program. This position will be heavily involved in a 7-year project with an approximately $41M budget , offering significant stability, project ownership, and the opportunity to become deeply embedded in a large, complex construction effort.

What Youll Do

In this role, you will work closely with Project Managers and cross-functional project teams to develop, maintain, and analyze schedules for large-scale construction projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Create and maintain detailed Primavera P6 project schedules
• Develop schedules that incorporate project activities, milestones, procurement items, approvals, and critical deliverables
• Build and maintain resource-loaded schedules aligned with overall project goals
• Monitor project progress against baseline schedules
• Identify scheduling risks, delays, and potential impacts before they affect project delivery
• Perform schedule variance, delay, risk, and time-impact analyses
• Prepare schedule-health reports, forecasts, and performance metrics for project leadership
• Partner directly with Project Managers on scheduling strategies and execution plans
• Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, QA/QC, safety, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders
• Participate in project meetings and provide insight into critical-path activities, milestones, and upcoming risks
• Assist with project cost and schedule completion forecasting
• Maintain accurate scheduling documentation and reporting
• Support internal scheduling processes and continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide guidance to less-experienced team members on scheduling software and best practices

The role is highly collaborative and works alongside Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, QA/QC, Procurement, Safety, and other project leadership.

What Were Looking For

Must-Have Qualifications

• 25 years of construction scheduling experience
• Fluent Primavera P6 experience required
• Experience developing, maintaining, and analyzing construction schedules
• Strong understanding of project sequencing, milestones, dependencies, and critical-path activities
• Experience with resource-loaded scheduling
• Experience with delay analysis, time-impact analysis, and project risk
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Exceptional organization and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with Project Managers and cross-functional construction teams
• High integrity, accountability, and a strong sense of ownership over your work

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting large-scale or complex construction projects
• Commercial, industrial, electrical, infrastructure, manufacturing, healthcare, data center, or similar project experience
• Experience working on multi-year construction programs
