Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Neuro Hospitalist (Inpatient 7on/7off)

Fort Worth, TX | Full-Time | Hospital-Based
Schedule: 7 Days On / 7 Days Off
Salary: $120,000 to $155,000 annually + full benefits

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) to join a collaborative inpatient neurology and stroke service in the Fort Worth, Texas area.

This role provides exposure to a broad range of neurological conditions, including acute stroke, seizures, neurotrauma, and neuromuscular disorders, within a well-established multidisciplinary hospitalist model.

Primary Responsibilities

Manage inpatient neurological and stroke patients across ICU and telemetry settings.
Conduct neurological exams, interpret imaging and diagnostics, and adjust treatment plans.
Participate in code stroke responses and coordinate advanced therapies.
Partner with neurosurgery, rehabilitation, and critical care teams to optimize outcomes.
Educate patients and families about recovery and discharge planning.
Engage in quality improvement and continuing education efforts.

Qualifications

Current TX RN license and ACNP certification required
BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
At least 2 years of inpatient NP experience
Excellent teamwork and documentation skills

Preferred:

Neurology, Neuro-ICU, or Hospitalist background
Stroke certification or procedural competency (EEG, LP, etc.)
