Accountant

A growing, industry-leading organization continuing to expand its national presence is seeking a talented Staff Accountant to join its Accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and has strong experience with cash management, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger activity, and discrepancy resolution.

We are looking for someone who is highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented, with the ability to follow the numbers, identify discrepancies, and work through issues to resolution. What You'll Do

• Manage high-volume daily Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activity
• Process, monitor, and track significant cash receipts and cash disbursements
• Support cash management and treasury-related accounting activity
• Perform detailed bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliations
• Research and resolve discrepancies, payment issues, variances, and unreconciled transactions
• Review accounting transactions for accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Assist with month-end close and year-end close activities
• Support general ledger accounting and financial reporting needs
• Communicate with customers, vendors, financial institutions, and internal departments to resolve accounting issues
• Assist with accounting projects, reporting, and process-related initiatives
• Perform additional accounting and administrative responsibilities as needed

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles
• Experience working with high-volume cash activity, cash management, treasury, Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable
• Strong hands-on experience with bank and general ledger reconciliations
• Ability to research transactions and independently identify and resolve discrepancies
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Experience working with accounting and/or ERP software
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of an Accounting and Finance team
