Human Resources Generalist I

The Human Resources Generalist I plays a critical role in supporting the HR department within the information industry by managing a variety of employee-related services, regulatory compliance, and administrative functions. This position is responsible for ensuring smooth HR operations that align with organizational goals and foster a positive workplace culture. The role involves collaborating with multiple departments to address employee needs, assist with recruitment and onboarding, and maintain accurate HR records. The Human Resources Generalist I will also contribute to the implementation of HR policies and programs that support employee engagement and development. Ultimately, this position serves as a key resource for employees and management, helping to create an efficient and compliant work environment across the United States locations. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. At least 1 year of experience in a human resources role or related administrative position. Basic knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices applicable in the United States. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HR information systems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications Professional HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP. Experience with ADP and CostPoint. Experience working in the information technology or related industry. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and payroll software. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Experience supporting remote or distributed teams. Responsibilities Support onboarding activities for new hires, ensuring a smooth integration into the company. Maintain and update employee records in HR information systems with accuracy and confidentiality. Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures in a timely and professional manner. Help administer employee benefits programs and assist with payroll coordination. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Participate in employee relations activities, including conflict resolution and performance management support. Assist in organizing training sessions and employee development initiatives. Generate HR reports and assist with audits as needed. Skills The required skills enable the Human Resources Generalist I to efficiently manage daily HR operations such as recruitment, onboarding, and employee record maintenance, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Strong communication skills are essential for effectively addressing employee questions and collaborating with management to resolve workplace issues. Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office allows for streamlined data management and reporting. Preferred skills, such as HR certifications and familiarity with industry‑specific software, enhance the ability to implement best practices and support specialized HR functions.
