Quality Inspector

Quality InspectorAquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Quality Inspector who will work out of our Canonsburg, PA or our Hartland, WI location. The Quality Inspector will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered a Non-Exempt employee.The Quality Inspector supports the Aquatech Team by performing inspections of fabricated equipment and components used in the manufacture of water treatment systems. The Quality Inspector will perform inspections at the Aquatech facility in Canonsburg, PA, and occasionally at fabricators and manufacturers that supply their products to Aquatech. Some travel may be required. Quality Inspectors report to the Director of Quality and support multiple Project Quality Managers.Minimum Qualifications:High School Graduate OR Technical, Welding, or quality-related higher education is preferred.Five (5) years of related experience is required.A current CWI certification is preferred.NDE and Auditor Certifications are a plus.Experience in inspecting piping, pressure vessels, and structural fabrications to the above-mentioned codes.Experience with supplier surveillance and the review of quality documentation such as WPS/PQRs, NDE reports, and material certificates.Beneficial Experience: Supervisory experience, Quality Auditing, Quality Management, or ISO 9001:2015 experience.Significant travel (30%+), both domestic and overseas, is required. A valid driver's license is required. Valid Passport is required.Job Description:Track and ensure the closure of all non-conformities.Submit the required project quality documentation (EOMR, etc.) to the customer in a timely and complete manner.Review contract documents and applicable job specifications (Turnover Packages). Assure that the customer requirements for projects are met or that exceptions are taken as necessary.Maintain Project Inspection and Test Plans. Inspect pressure vessels, piping, and structural fabrications to applicable codes. Assure project quality requirements are met and properly documented.The Project Quality Manager will communicate with suppliers and internal Project Teams daily.Skill Requirements:Must be able to read fabrication drawings for pressure vessels, piping, and structural fabrications.Must be able to read electrical drawings and P&IDs.Knowledge of ASME and AWS welding requirements.Requires knowledge of ASME Sections V, VIII/IX, ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, and AWS D1.1 codes.Must be able to communicate professionally with suppliers and customers.Ability to review project and customer technical specifications and incorporate the requirements into project quality plans and I&TPs.Computer literate (MS Word, Excel & Outlook)Ability to use a computerBenefits:Aquatech offers a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, company-paid holidays, and a 401K plan (all benefits are based on eligibility).Essential Functions:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Needs a high degree of concentration in a busy area.Qualifications:High School Graduate or equivalentOne (1) or more years of experience in a manufacturing or fabricating environment or prior experience in the inspection of fabricated equipment or componentsAWS SCWI, CWI, or CAWI a plus. NDE experience is a plus.Must possess a valid driver's license and a passport or the ability to obtain a passport.
