Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist - Day Shift

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist will independently perform a variety of advanced imaging procedures. This role requires proficient judgment and expertise in applying prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. The CT Technologist will utilize complex imaging equipment to ensure the acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation of image data is completed according to established protocols.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform computed tomography procedures, including the administration of contrast agents in accordance with protocols.
• Adjust protocols using independent judgment to ensure optimal diagnostic outcomes.
• Demonstrate proper technique in venipuncture and the use of power injectors as per departmental and manufacturer guidelines.
• Administer oral, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders and assess for potential risk factors prior to administration.
• Maintain high standards of patient interaction, ensuring caring, clear communication to foster a positive experience.
• Implement universal protocol for patient identification and procedural compliance to maintain safety and accuracy.
• Document patient history and ensure all imaging data is accurately coded, tracked, and stored for review.
• Collaborate effectively within the team and across departments to streamline patient care processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT program.
• CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of obtaining the primary registry or date of hire if the primary registry is already held.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.
• ARRT Certification and Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) are required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
• Current Pennsylvania state clearances: Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73.

Schedule

This position operates on a Day Shift schedule of 10-hour shifts across 4 days per week.
