Maintenance Supervisor (3rd shift) - New London Prepared Plant

Position Overview Maintenance Supervisor in the Prepared Foods Division at Tyson Foods. The role involves overseeing all aspects of plant maintenance, directing maintenance technicians, and ensuring a safe and clean environment in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager. Shift & Hours 3rd Shift: Sunday–Thursday, with occasional Friday and Saturday. 9:00PM – 6:00AM, with flex as needed. Additional compensation is provided for the 6th and 7th workdays. Responsibilities Ensure work orders are assigned correctly and completed on time while tracking and assessing individual associates’ workload. Train maintenance associates on the PM program, work orders, and standard operating procedures. Communicate expectations regarding teamwork, attitude, and work performance, continually assessing individual performance. Maintain and update the Lock Out Tag Out book. Ensure all GMPs, HACCP, PSM program, company policies, and safety programs are followed at all times. Audit and validate all departmental procedures and revise when necessary. Obtain an excellent working knowledge of all equipment, components, and utility systems throughout the facility. Complete and maintain all required reports. Oversee parts/inventory for the department, working closely with the supply leadperson to issue parts with work orders to the proper shifts/associates. Perform other duties as required. Requirements Associate’s degree in a related field preferred. Maintenance experience required; 3+ years as a maintenance technician or closely related role preferred. Experience in directing, evaluating, and training maintenance technicians preferred. Experience in food manufacturing with union understanding is a plus. Proficient verbal communication with the ability to listen, understand, and articulate ideas effectively. Strong written communication skills for clear expression of ideas and concepts. Basic PLC experience required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; experience with SAP is a plus. Additional Requirements Willing and able to work every other weekend.
