Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinating all functions within the unit/department during their assigned shift. Working alongside other management team members, the CNC directs, monitors, and assesses nursing care in line with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitates admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
• Engages in ongoing assessments of the quality of patient care services in collaboration with the management team.
• Works with subject matter experts and other managers to foster a collaborative environment that enhances outcomes and service quality.
• Promotes a patient-first philosophy and participates in service recovery when needed.
• Supports facility engagement initiatives by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly checks.
• Provides input on interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, and recommends actions related to training, conflict resolution, policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary measures to enhance organizational competitiveness.
• Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor aspects in accordance with patient care needs and productivity standards.
• Ensures proper inventory management and assists in overseeing supplies and equipment.

Qualifications Required:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within one year of starting employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
