Material Inventory Control Specialist

$22 per hour

job summary:
Great client is seeking a detail-oriented Material & Inventory Control Specialist to support warehouse and inventory control operations. In this role, you will oversee the full lifecycle of aerospace hardware and parts-from initial physical receipt and ERP system entry to kitting, discrepancy resolution, quality inspection verification, and final crating/shipping.

responsibilities:

  • Perform physical receiving of incoming shipments, enter data into the ERP system, print labels, and execute put-away procedures.

  • Pick and scan parts into Excel kitting logs; maintain 100% strict traceability of hardware (batch, lot, and serial numbers) across manual and digital logs.

  • Execute accurate system movements including receipts, location transfers, inventory adjustments, and cashing parts out to specific job orders.

  • Verify quality inspection sign-offs prior to packing and crating; accurately track shipped items versus scanned/unshipped items in tracking sheets.

  • eport, investigate, and resolve physical vs. system inventory discrepancies; contribute actionable ideas toward continuous process improvement.
Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of warehouse, inventory control, or shipping/receiving experience within an aerospace, manufacturing, or regulated industry.

  • Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel (data entry, logging, tracking formulas).

  • Proven capability to track and maintain critical batch, lot, and serial numbers with extreme precision.

  • Prior experience in an aerospace or defense manufacturing environment preferred
