Your Responsibilities as an HVAC Service Technician

As our Senior Service Technician, you are vital in taking care of our clients by providing them with the highest-quality service and maintenance of their home’s HVAC systems.

• Deliver World-Class Service – Deliver an amazing experience for our customers.
• Troubleshoot and Provide System Maintenance – Consult with clients regarding their heating and air conditioning systems, understand their concerns, and diagnose and fix the issue correctly.
• Advise on System Upgrades, Improvements, and Service Plans – Help customers uncover additional opportunities and needs related to their home comfort and air quality while offering your expert recommendation for the best solution.

Benefits & Pay

The pay range for this position is $28 - $35 per hour, and depends on your experience and knowledge as an HVAC service technician. We offer medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits.

Job Requirements

These are the minimum requirements to be considered for this position.

• Experience in residential HVAC
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift 60 lbs.
• Excellent communication skills with customers and office team
• Professional appearance and personality

Position Summary:

The Senior Technician, HVAC is required to operate, monitor, maintain and repair all equipment used for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning in Oakland and Macomb County.

Responsibilities: Include but not limited to –

• Communicate regularly and guide junior technicians to ensure effective communication concerning tasks and issues.
• Maintain and repair all HVAC equipment and mechanical components to OEM specification, i.e., valves, motors, belts, bearings, filters, and lubrication.
• Monitor, service, install, repair and replace heating and cooling systems including split systems, packaged units, and ductless units.
• Ensure that junior technicians are being trained and executing functions correctly.
• Initiate and carry out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs under the direction of management.
• Track, analyze and improve key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, code compliance, schedule compliance, etc.
• Assist in maintaining safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by Senior Management

Education and Experience:

• High school or GED diploma required.
• Universal EPA Certificate.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC and/or facility systems operation and maintenance.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Skills, Abilities and Knowledge:

• Ability to effectively communicate expectations to employees.
• Ability to work independently.
• Basic knowledge of computer operation for use on energy management systems.
• Proficient in electrical troubleshooting, understanding wiring diagrams and order of operations.
