Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations across various age groups utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft tailored treatment plans that focus on immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Implement one-on-one speech therapy sessions that focus on areas such as language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing.
• Work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and family members to establish unified care approaches.
• Provide guidance and education to patients and families to enhance progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Assist with some inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care throughout the therapy process.
• Maintain meticulous documentation that meets the regulatory standards set by state and federal guidelines.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through education and collaboration with peers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
