Education: A high school diploma plus five (5) years of experience in customer service, bookkeeping, tax preparation, cash handling, data entry, or administrative support. Position Specifics The Revenue Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight and daily management of the state individual income tax program. This classification ensures compliance with Arkansas tax laws, manages personnel and resources, and drives efficiency and service delivery across Arkansas state tax administration, collections, licensing, or motor vehicle operations. Primary Responsibilities include: Primary Responsibilities Direct the daily operations of a revenue unit or program area, ensuring consistent compliance with state laws and departmental policies. Develop, implement, and monitor internal processes to improve operational efficiency, data accuracy, and customer service in a call center environment. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate staff, including Revenue Supervisors, Coordinators, and Specialists. Oversee the collection, reconciliation, and reporting of revenues and fees processed through the unit. Analyze complex financial data and program performance metrics to support decision-making and resource allocation. Resolve high-level taxpayer issues, audit findings, or procedural discrepancies involving multiple stakeholders. Participate in the development of new policies, legislation, or administrative rules related to taxation or revenue collection. Ensure that all operations uphold confidentiality, transparency, and ethical handling of public funds and records. Minimum Qualifications An associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, economics, or social work plus four years’ experience in customer service, bookkeeping, tax preparation, cash handling, data entry, or administrative support including two years in a supervisory or leadership capacity. OR A high school diploma plus five (5) years of experience in customer service, bookkeeping, tax preparation, cash handling, data entry, or administrative support including two years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
