Summary of the Role Reporting to the Environmental Health and Safety Manager, the the Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing the Company Health and Safety policies and programs, ensuring safe working procedures and regulatory compliance on company work sites and facilities. Key Responsibilities Implementand overseesite safety program through continuous on-site monitoring during field execution. Consultwith management and labour to ensure that the highest level of due diligence is maintained. Providecounsel and advice to Company management on all health and safety-related matters. Coordinateand attendon-site health and safety meetings. Providesite Health and Safety training, indoctrination, orientation to employees. ProvideWHMIS training. Thoroughly investigateaccidents/incidents. GenerateH&S statistics and provides regular reports in a prescribed format, to the Environmental Health and Safety Manager, Nuclear Services. Performweekly documented site inspections and monthly safety audits. Maintaindaily/weekly/monthly work activity logbooks. Maintainsafety records and documents. Maintainrecord of all safety and site information used to provide statistics, charts, reports etc. Ensurecompliance with OHSA and all other relevant H&S related legislation and regulations. Ensuremanagement remains aware of any potential H&S related issues that may negatively impact the business. Workwith management and employees to develop and implement appropriate return to work and modified work programs. Maintainzero tolerance for on job safety infractions. Ensureresponsibilities and accountabilities are conducted in a safe manner in accordance with E.S. Fox Limited safety policy/procedures, ISO standards and OHSA requirements. Ensurethat environmental aspects within his/her sphere of responsibility are adhered to pursuant to ISO 14001 requirements. Some travel between project sites may be required. Ability to work afternoon/night shifts, and weekends, as required. Key Requirements, Experience and Skills Post secondary education (Degree in Management or Occupational Health & Safety) is an asset. NCSO (National Construction Safety Officer) designation preferred. CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) or CRST (Canadian Registered Safety Technician) designation optional. Current knowledge of OHSA, WSIB, Construction and Industrial Safety Regulations. Current CPR and Standard First Aid training certification. WHMIS, Working at Heights, Lock-Out/Tag-Out, Confined Space and TDG training. Orange Badge training is an asset. 5-10 years of related experience working in a health and safety role(Within a construction environment is preferred). Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience working with the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Intermediate skill level working with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook. Nuclear Generating Station experience is preferred. Subject to security background check. Current valid security clearance is an asset. Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) are an asset.
