Hire Type: Direct Hire

Pay Range : $75,000 - $150,000 plus bonus

Nature & Scope:

Positional Overview

Our client is actively seeking multiple Electrical Engineers to support the continued growth of its multidisciplinary building engineering practice.

The team is open to experienced Electrical Engineers with approximately 5+ years of experience as well as senior-level Electrical Engineering professionals capable of leading complex projects, mentoring staff, and serving as technical leaders within the organization.

These positions focus on the design, analysis, and implementation of building electrical systems for a diverse portfolio of healthcare, education, municipal, commercial, institutional, and industrial projects. Successful candidates will work collaboratively with architects, structural engineers, mechanical engineers, plumbing engineers, and construction teams throughout all phases of project delivery.

Depending upon experience level, candidates may serve as project engineers, lead engineers, project managers, or discipline leaders responsible for technical oversight and client relationship management.

Role & Responsibility:

Tasks That Will Lead To Your Success

• Develop electrical engineering concepts, strategies, calculations, specifications, reports, and construction documents.
• Design and analyze:
  • Power distribution systems

• Perform:
  • Lighting calculations
  • Load calculations
  • Circuit and feeder sizing

  • Building condition assessments
• Design and coordinate:
  • Single-line diagrams
  • Electrical room layouts
  • Equipment layouts
  • Panel schedules
  • Power distribution networks
• Ensure designs comply with national, state, and local electrical and safety codes.
• Prepare engineering reports, specifications, studies, and technical recommendations.
• Coordinate designs with mechanical, structural, plumbing, civil, and architectural teams.

Project Leadership & Management

Mid-Level Engineers

• Function as Project Electrical Engineer on multidisciplinary projects.
• Coordinate design activities through proposal, design, bidding, and construction phases.
• Support project managers and senior engineers in delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Participate in client meetings and project presentations.

Senior-Level Engineers

• Serve as Lead Electrical Engineer on multidisciplinary projects.
• Act as Engineer of Record where applicable.
• Provide technical oversight for project teams.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, staffing, and deliverables.
• Direct engineering teams through all project phases.
• Oversee quality control and technical review processes.
• Support project profitability and resource planning.

Leadership & Mentorship

Depending on experience level, responsibilities may include:

• Mentoring junior engineers and designers.
• Delegating and reviewing technical work.
• Providing technical guidance and professional development support.
• Establishing engineering standards and best practices.
• Serving as a subject matter expert within the organization.
• Supporting recruiting and team growth initiatives.

Client Management & Business Development

• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Present engineering alternatives and technical recommendations.
• Support proposal development and project pursuits.
• Participate in business development activities.
• Assist clients in evaluating design options and cost-benefit analyses.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify new opportunities and expand existing relationships.

Required Qualifications

Mid-Level Electrical Engineer

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of building systems electrical design experience.
• Experience with:

  • Security systems
• Revit proficiency required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Senior Electrical Engineer / Electrical Engineering Lead

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience within a consulting engineering environment.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary building projects.
• Strong technical expertise in:
  • Power distribution
  • Emergency power systems
  • Electrical infrastructure
  • Building systems design
• Experience managing project teams and mentoring engineers.
• Proven client-facing and project leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• EIT Certification.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• Revit and AutoCAD proficiency.
• Experience with:

  • Building Assessments
• Consulting engineering experience.
• Healthcare, education, municipal, or commercial project experience.

Work Schedule & Travel

Schedule

• Monday – Friday
• Flexible scheduling available
• Typical office hours range between:
  • 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Travel

• Limited regional travel.
• Primarily project sites throughout Western New York.
• Occasional travel to support client meetings and project activities.
