Office Nurse (RN) - GastroenterologyThis is a 13-week contract position. The Office Nurse (RN) supports the primary care providers in delivering healthcare to patients by performing various activities and procedures. The RN plays a vital role in teaching and directing clinical support staff (LPNs and Medical Assistants) in implementing the therapeutic plan of care, observing and caring for the ill, injured, or infirm, and actively managing patient flow within the office.ResponsibilitiesPrepare patient charts for the following day, understanding risk management and HMO referral systems.Assist in patient preparation for examinations as instructed by providers or Clinical Coordinator.Document patient history and present condition in the medical record as directed.Assist providers with all types of examinations and special procedures.Administer injections, remove sutures, clean wounds, and apply dressings as directed.Manage and sterilize instruments used during clinical procedures.Maintain cleanliness in examining rooms and keep necessary supplies stocked.Manage medically related phone calls as directed by providers or Clinical Coordinator.Perform a variety of medically related tasks as instructed by providers.Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureAt least 2 years of clinic experience is required.Wound care experience is necessary.Experience in gastroenterology is highly preferred.Critical Access Hospital experience is highly preferred.Active American Heart Association BLS certification is required.Current RN license verification is mandatory.ScheduleMonday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM; 40 hours per week.Why ARMStaffing?At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
