The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Lansing seeking Bookkeepers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts monthly.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers in accordance with company policies and GAAP.
• Prepare and submit payroll, including tax filings and deductions.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and accruals.
• Generate financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements, for management review.
• Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP B1) and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) relevant to manufacturing operations, including inventory costing and WIP.
• Proven ability to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience with month-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
