Position Summary

The laundry aide is responsible for ensuring resident clothing, linens, and facility laundry are cleaned, processed, and distributed accurately and efficiently. This role plays a vital part in maintaining a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment for our residents.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, and fold resident laundry, linens, and facility laundry.
• Distribute clean laundry and linens to designated areas and residents.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the laundry department.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures while handling soiled and clean linens.
• Monitor linen inventory and remove stained or damaged items from circulation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous laundry, housekeeping, or healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stretch, and lift throughout the shift.
• Ability to push laundry carts and safely handle laundry supplies.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to resident satisfaction.
