Provides direct clinical supervision and frontline administrative oversight of clinical services within the geographical location(s) assigned through the Integrated Counseling Department while ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care. Maintains a clinical caseload as established by organizational guidelines, with caseload expectations adjusted according to the number of direct reports, supervisory responsibilities, and program operational needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clinical Leadership & Clinical Service Oversight

• Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to assigned clinical team members, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, ethical, and evidence-informed services.
• Supervise and support the day-to-day operations of assigned clinicians, ensuring effective workflow, clinical coverage, and alignment with agency standards.
• Provide individual and group supervision to assigned direct reports, supporting clinical development, skill enhancement, ethical decision-making, and professional growth.
• Monitor clinical practice and service delivery to ensure client needs are appropriately assessed, treatment goals are met, and interventions align with best practice standards.
• Review clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, quarterly reviews, discharge summaries, and other required documentation to ensure compliance with agency, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure timely completion and quality assurance compliance related to documentation, clinical practices, training requirements, and assigned employee responsibilities.
• Provide consultation regarding complex clinical cases, level of care decisions, crisis situations, referrals, and coordination of care needs.
• Support clinicians in assessing client needs and making appropriate referrals for additional services or more intensive levels of care when indicated.
• Maintain awareness of client care needs and service outcomes through ongoing review of caseloads, clinical documentation, utilization data, and program performance indicators.
  • Ensure appropriate coordination of care with families, schools, probation officers, DHHS, medical providers, referral sources, and other community partners as applicable.

• Participate in the hiring, onboarding, orientation, and training clinical staff regarding agency policies, procedures, clinical expectations, documentation standards, and principles of teamwork.
• Establish clear expectations for direct reports performance and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and support to promote professional growth and accountability.
• Conduct performance evaluations and assist direct reports in identifying professional development goals.
• Approve time-off requests, timecards, expense reports, and other administrative responsibilities for assigned direct reports.
• Co-lead, alongside the Associate Director, team meetings and co-facilitate opportunities for case consultation, clinical discussion, shared learning, feedback, and department planning.
• Encourage direct reports participation in continuing education, professional development opportunities, and applicable credentialing requirements, including progress toward certifications such as the Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) credential when applicable.

Program Performance and Compliance

• Monitor key performance indicators that align with departmental objectives, including quality, productivity, access, utilization, and client outcomes alongside the Associate Director and Senior Director of Behavioral Health and Community Services.
• Review designated reports and operational data to identify trends, barriers, opportunities for improvement, and recommendations for process enhancement.
• Monitor program compliance with agency policies, contractual requirements, licensing standards, funding source expectations, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in internal and external audits, reviews, and site visits, ensuring preparation, compliance, and follow-up as needed alongside the Associate Director for geographical location(s) assigned.
• Meet with funding sources and community partners to ensure contract standards, service expectations, and program outcomes are achieved.
• Work collaboratively with department leadership to identify opportunities for program growth, innovation, and continuous quality improvement, as applicable.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Maintain a clinical caseload appropriate to the size and needs of the assigned team and department operations.
  • Caseload expectations will be adjusted based on the number of direct reports, supervisory responsibilities, administrative workload, and program needs.
• Conduct assigned intake assessments and complete required clinical documentation.
• Provide individual, family, and/or multi-systemic therapy services for assigned clients.
• Develop and update treatment plans, clinical reviews, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other required documentation in accordance with agency and contract requirements.
• Coordinate client transitions, transfers, and discharges while ensuring appropriate communication with clients, families, supervisors, and involved providers.
• Maintain appropriate clinical records and ensure documentation reflects quality standards and client treatment objectives.

General

• Work cooperatively with other clinical supervisors, department leaders, and agency partners to ensure coordinated service delivery and consistent implementation of agency practices.
• Collaborate with referral sources, community partners, and external stakeholders to strengthen partnerships and support client access to care.
• Represent Wedgwood Christian Services through marketing, public relations, community outreach, and professional networking activities as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with psychiatric services, case management teams, financial support staff, and other internal departments regarding clinical, operational, and client service needs alongside the Associate Director and Senior Director of Behavioral Health and Community Services.
• Participate in leadership team meetings, as applicable, by sharing ideas, providing feedback, and contributing to department planning and strategic initiatives.
• Maintain knowledge of current and emerging community needs, treatment approaches, behavioral health practices, and program developments.
• Utilize educational opportunities and professional resources to maintain and enhance clinical expertise and leadership skills.
• Seek consultation and supervision to strengthen clinical judgment, administrative effectiveness, and leadership development.
• Demonstrate respect, cultural humility, and understanding of diverse client and staff backgrounds, including differences in race, social, ethnic, economic, religious, and cultural experiences.
• Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position. The employee must maintain a consistent work schedule and be available during the assigned hours to perform the duties of this role.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's degree and independent clinical licensure.
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field required.
  • Required to provide proof of full license certification in applicant’s field of study.
• CAADC, CCS and/or MCBAP certifications required or a development plan.
• At least 3 years of post-graduate clinical experience.
• Clinical experience working with children, adolescents and/or families.
• Additional therapeutic certifications preferred (i.e. DBT, TFCBT, etc.) but not required.
• Prior experience working with an interdisciplinary team preferred.
• For transportation purposes must have a valid driver's license.
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in computer skills, especially using Outlook, Word, Excel, and customized databases.
• Awareness of, respect for, and sensitivity to a diversity of cultures.
• Subscription to the Statement of Faith of Wedgwood Christian Services and agreement with the goal, purpose, and objectives of the agency.
