Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a remote, contract role responsible for leading Syntex’s overall financial strategy and operations. The CFO will oversee financial planning and budgeting, manage cash flow and capital allocation, and provide strategic recommendations to the executive team based on financial analysis and forecasting. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising accounting and financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements, and maintaining strong internal controls and compliance with relevant regulations. The CFO will partner with business leaders to evaluate investments, pricing models, and new growth opportunities, while monitoring key performance indicators and financial risks. This role will also manage external relationships with auditors, tax advisors, banking partners, and potential investors, supporting fundraising or strategic transactions as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance, with experience leading financial strategy in a high-growth or technology-focused organization.
- Proficiency in Financial Planning and budgeting, including forecasting, scenario modeling, and resource allocation.
- Expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with applicable standards.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret complex data, develop insights, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Proven leadership experience managing finance teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Experience with SaaS, data, or AI-driven business models, including metrics such as ARR, churn, and customer acquisition costs, is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with healthcare or life sciences industries, including regulatory and reimbursement considerations, is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA) or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving organization.
