Travel Surgical Tech/ORT - Certified Surgical Technologist/CST

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with a strong orthopedic background and Level 1 Trauma experience for a hospital General OR position.

Requirements

• NBSTSA certification required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Strong orthopedic background required, including skills in ACL reconstruction, arthroscopy, arthrotomy, carpal tunnel release, fracture reductions, laminectomy/discectomy, spinal fusion, total hip and knee replacement, and traction/splint application
• Candidates with less than 2 years of experience will be considered
• License required if applicable

Responsibilities

• General OR work setting at a Level 1 Trauma facility
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, Monday through Wednesday, 6:45am to 7:15pm
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Perform surgical technologist duties supporting a range of orthopedic procedures
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Former UChicago Medicine or Ingalls staff must have separated from employment for at least 7 months before returning as a traveler
• Requested time off limited to no more than 3 days, with no RTO during the first or last week of the contract
• Non-billable orientation modules (2-3 hours) are required and vary by profession
