Travel Surgical Technologist – OR (Ortho/Robotics Focus) – Tacoma, WA
Shift: Monday–Friday | 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM (Midshift)

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist for a high-volume OR environment with a strong focus on orthopedic and robotic surgery. This facility performs a wide range of surgical cases including total joints, bariatric, urology, general surgery, GYN, ophthalmology, and podiatry, with heavy emphasis on ortho and DaVinci XI robotic procedures.

This is a traveler-friendly, team-oriented OR with strong support staff and frequent traveler extensions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scrub for orthopedic, total joint, and robotic (DaVinci XI) procedures
• Assist in laparoscopic, bariatric, urology, and general surgery cases
• Maintain sterile technique and anticipate surgeon needs
• Work collaboratively in a fast-paced OR environment

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year experience with strong ortho OR experience OR 2 years general OR experience
• BLS required
• Washington State Surgical Technologist Registration required
• DaVinci XI robotics experience required
• Ability to scrub ortho, laparoscopic, and robotic cases

Preferred Experience:

• Total joints (hip, knee, orthopedic trauma)
• Bariatric surgery
• Urology, GYN, podiatry, ophthalmology
• Experience with Hana Table, Zimmer Biomet ROSA, DePuy Velys systems

Facility Highlights:

• 8 OR suites
• Average 25–40 surgical cases per day
• No call, no weekends, no holidays
• Strong ortho-heavy surgical program (4 days/week bariatric block)

• Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication system

Orientation & Training:

• 3-day unit orientation with preceptor
• Independent workflow expected after onboarding

• First-time travelers accepted
• Travelers do not float
• RTO up to 7 days may be approved
