Location: Kennewick, Washington (Trios Health – Teaching Hospital)
Shift: 06:15 AM – 05:15 PM (Day Shift)
Schedule: 4x10s / 40 hours per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks (91 days)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a busy acute care teaching hospital serving the Tri-Cities region of Washington. The RN will provide perioperative nursing care across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases, working in a high-volume surgical environment.

The OR supports a wide range of specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, spine, vascular, gynecology, and urology.

Facility Overview

• 111-bed teaching hospital
• Trauma Level III
• 6 Operating Rooms
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• EHR: Paragon
• Located in Kennewick, WA (Tri-Cities region)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide circulating and/or scrub RN duties in the OR
• Deliver pre-op, intra-op, and post-op patient care
• Assist in surgical procedures including:
  • Robotic & laparoscopic general surgery
  • Orthopedics (joint replacements, hand, podiatry)
  • Spine and vascular surgery
  • Urology and gynecology procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and patient safety standards
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR team

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Active RN License (State or Compact)
• Minimum 3+ years of OR experience
• Experience across multiple surgical specialties preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity OR setting

Required Certifications & Exams

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• RN State License
• Core Mandatory Nursing Exams (Parts I, II, III)
• RN Pharmacology Exam (A)
• RN – Operating Room (Perioperative/Acute Care) competency exams

Schedule & Call Requirements

• 4x10 Day Shift (06:15 AM – 05:15 PM)
• 40 hours per week
• Call requirement: 7 shifts/month
  • Must include at least 1 Saturday, 1 Sunday, and 1 holiday
• No float requirement

Additional Details

• Must be greater than 60 miles from facility (travel eligible only)
• Teaching hospital with strong surgical volume
• Team-oriented and fast-paced OR environment
• Contractor replacement position
• Strong experience in multi-specialty OR cases required
