Full-Time Bus Driver / Cook
Discovery Point Hamilton Mill – Dacula, GA
Discovery Point Hamilton Mill is seeking a reliable, hardworking team member to serve as both our Bus Driver and Cook . This full-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, values safety, and takes pride in preparing nutritious meals.
Responsibilities
Transportation
- Safely transport children to and from local elementary schools and field trips.
- Conduct daily bus safety inspections.
- Ensure safe loading and unloading of children.
- Keep the bus clean and well-maintained.
- Follow all Georgia childcare transportation regulations.
Kitchen
- Prepare breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks following CACFP guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
- Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering supplies.
- Properly store, label, and rotate food.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
General
- Assist with other center duties as needed.
- Work closely with the management team to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Maintain a positive, professional attitude with children, families, and coworkers.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must pass Georgia Bright from the Start background check.
- CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
- Previous driving, food service, childcare, or school experience is preferred.
- Dependable, organized, and able to multitask.
- Strong commitment to child safety.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Monday–Friday 7:00-4:00
- No evenings or weekends.
- Additional hours available during school breaks and summer.
