Now Hiring: Loan Coordinator in San Diego, CA

Location: Full Time in onsite in Kearny Mesa
Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Pay: $23.00/hour
Contract: 3 month+ contract (potential for extension)


We are seeking a Loan Coordinator to support a fast paced, high volume intake environment with an established Mortgage company. You will be reviewing and routing a steady stream of loss mitigation and loan related inquiries. Accuracy, speed, and strong communication are essential in this highly repetitive and deadline driven role.


Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor a shared inbox, processing high volumes of requests, appeals, complaints, and retention related inquiries.
  
• Review, analyze, and decipher incoming submissions to determine proper categorization and routing.
  
• Forward emails, send required documents, and complete follow ups in accordance with investor and regulatory timelines.
  
• Ensure timely acknowledgment of all incoming loss mitigation requests to meet compliance and SLA requirements.
  
• Verify documentation for completeness before routing to underwriting, appeals, or retention teams.
  
• Research borrower information, case status, or loan details as needed to support proper intake decisioning.
  
• Maintain knowledge of various investor requirements (e.g., FHA, VA, USDA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac).
  
• Communicate professionally with internal departments to resolve discrepancies or obtain missing information.
  
• Track and monitor pending items to ensure follow up is completed within required timeframes.
  
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive borrower data.
  
• Adapt quickly to changes in workflow, volume, or investor guidelines.
  

Qualifications

• Prior experience in Loss Mitigation, mortgage servicing, or mortgage operations required.
  
• Familiarity with intake functions and investor-specific requirements preferred.
  
• Fast learner with strong ability to work in a fast paced, repetitive, deadline driven environment.
  
• Excellent written communication and email-handling skills.
  
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and urgency.
  
• Ability to prioritize high volumes of incoming work.
